I had the honor to visit Sapelo Island was greeted by dolphins at the dock and in the ocean while swimming I connected with a 400plus year old oak tree and all the other mystical trees around it I learned the history of the island admired its beauty felt the pain of my ancestors who were enslaved here and filled with raged knowing they were tricked out of their land and are still trying to be tricked and pushed off the land.
