Lamentations, chapter 2, and verse 19, the prophet Jeremiah says these words. “Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands towards Him for the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.“

The prophet Jeremiah stood with a broken heart as he watched his beloved people and nation being taken into captivity. When people turn from God, the children always suffer. He watched as those who were young and impressionable would be led into captivity and indoctrinated into godlessness by their captors. He knew that the nation was at a point where only God could turn this around and only God could save the children.
