SAVING Animals in the Caribbean | Caribbean Canine Connection | Pawareness Podcast No. 76

Listen Later

In this episode of the Pawareness Podcast, host Kris McCauley welcomes Alison Driscoll, the President and Co-founder of the Caribbean Canine Connection.  Based in the Caribbean Islands, the organization aims to provide homes for neglected dogs and animals in the Caribbean and relocate them to the United States to rescues and shelters.

The idea came to Alison after vacationing frequently to the islands with her husband. Starting their organization to address the problem of animal neglect and abuse, Alison has connected compassionate people in the area to help facilitate the process. Their process involves connecting interested adopters with their partner rescue organizations that will keep and save animals from the streets. Volunteers will help transport the animals to their new owners and homes.

I want to help as many dogs as I can, especially the larger dogs. I hate to see them being stuck there.” - Alison Driscoll
