Hello Purposeful Family,
Today we are going to pick up where we left off last Tuesday; how to politely take criticism. (I’ll Take it Under Advisement)
→A quick review. The Bible helps prepare us for criticism by educating us on the types of people there are. The Proverbs places these people in two categories the foolish and the wise. King Solomon further breaks it down with many examples.
The take away from I’ll Take it Under Advisement could be that we listen to everyone and ask what can we learn. Then our immediate reaction is to pray and ask God if in fact this information was from Him.
→What did God tell us to do? If He has spoken to us before, what makes us think He has given someone else the authority over His instructions?
God is enough. We can trust His word.
