In the 2008 movie, Yes Man, Jim Carey plays a guy just sort of bumping along in his normal, everyday existence. He says “no” regularly, and prefers the comfort of his couch to exploring anything new.
On any given day, this might describe a lot of us. How often are we unconscious to the ways we show up (or not!) in the world? Inspired by this movie and Shonda Rhimes’ great book, Year of Yes, Sherry and Anne discuss “saying yes,” even when that “yes” is to a “no.” We suggest that we all have the opportunity to bring more consciousness to the way we live, work and play. Join us to hear about some of our own experiences of saying yes, and how to cultivate a practice that could become your regular way of operating.
