Surprise — it’s us again!

We know it’s been a minute, and we can’t thank you enough for the messages, the love, and the support you’ve shown during our hiatus. We’re not quite back with the next full season of Same Business Different Day just yet — but don’t worry, it’s definitely in the works. In the meantime, we wanted to drop something special for those of you who’ve been asking for more content from us.

⁠Recently, we had the honor of being invited by Taryell Simmons and Rise Urban Nation⁠ to the inaugural Experience Encanto: Art Stroll, an arts and culture festival held right in the heart of Encanto on October 17th. We set up shop inside Marathon Barbershop, right in the middle of the action, and got to sit down with some incredible guests who were there to support and celebrate the event.

⁠In this first interview, we’re talking with DOPE Rx⁠, an artist originally from Chicago who’s spent the past eight years making his mark here in San Diego. He shares a powerful story about the formula his father taught him on his deathbed, how that led him to patent his own color, and — you won’t believe this — the tale of the rarest shoes ever stolen from an art exhibit.
