Scaring Sam: A Horror Podcast

It finally happened! After many years of doing this podcast, we both sat down and watched Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre... much to Sam's shock and disgust. And after enduring the scorching Texan Sun and the rank stench of questionable gas station BBQ, we thought we had the stomach to also watch the very divisive 1986 sequel. Let's just say it was a wild ride through the Lone Star State. Prize winning chilli, anyone...?

Donnie Darko (2001) is many things. Weird. Beautiful. Nostalgic. Easy to follow, not so much. We also discuss how it got made in the first place, the dreaded director's cut, and James reveals how the film helped him through his own mental health crisis.

What's up, revellers and weirdos! We continue our love for Lovecraft with John Carpenter's IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS (1994). Do you read Sutter Cane? Well, maybe you should read H.P. Lovecraft first. We discuss how this film's elusive author, his stories, and everything in-between, are all inspired by the real life weird fiction writer's work. What happens when two masters of horror collide?
