The story of the 1912 Waihi Gold Miners' Strike is told through a new play by Lorae Parry which interweaves music and dance. Scarlet and Gold follows the paths of three different women who clash during the strike, and take to the picket line when the men in their lives are arrested. Writer Lorae Parry also stars in her new work, alongside Todd Rippon.
