school project #2: an interdisciplinary approach on the relationship between kids and technology in school

Listen Later

I really only talk about one topic over the course of the episode, so I don't feel that it's necessary to provide timestamps... BUT:

Introductory points:

• The increase of technology in adolescent education will be perceived negatively until there is a proper balance between the relationships of the psychological, social, economic, and professional education disciplinary insights.

• By taking these insights from each discipline and contextualizing the relationship between technology and adolescent education, we will be able to understand where education is heading and where it’s at now.

• All disciplines have the common ground knowledge of giving children the best education they can and provide a social-emotional learning environment in uncharted territory

Conclusion:

By using the integration strategy of extension, we will be able to integrate the different insights on the relationship between technology and adolescent education. For example, extending the analysis of school economics to reach into providing a healthy social environment that also extends into how the adolescent brain develops, is where we will find solutions. We also need to look at this contextually. To know what's best for a student, we need understand a student's culture, family, mental health, and much more. This way we can use a student's context methodically and have the flexibility to provide an interdisciplinary conclusion on how to incorporate the phenomena of technology.
