This week on The Sci-Fi Movie Podcast, Jonathan and Rem have gathered your suggestions and theirs, and made the definitive list of the Sci-Fi Movies that you don't need to watch. You can skip them and move on to better movies!
Jonathan and Rem's combined list:
Jonathan's list:
Rem's list:
Listener list:
List to our discussion of Plan 9 from Outer Space
Christina Smith
Well number 1 on my list would be Guardians of the Galaxy. I couldn't even
watch 20 minutes of that nonsense! Also, Howard the Duck and Mac and Me
Robin Ess
Oblivion. What a mess of tired cliches and paper women.
Bob Bhatia In no particular order:
Johnny Mnemonic
Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace
Battlefield Earth
Masters of the Universe
Highlander 2: The Quickening
Seth Heasley
I'm tempted to put Interstellar on the list based on how disappointing I found it, but I'll relent and go with the more obvious choices:
The TNG Star Trek Movies (yes, all of them, including First Contact)
Star Trek The Motion Picture
Star Trek V
The Matrix Sequels
Judge Dredd (skip it and go with the remake, which is something one rarely says)
Kelly A. Beam
Alien Resurrection
Ray R.
Battlefield Earth
Hans-Kristian Moslund
Elysium, Battleship, waterworld, Irobot, Cowboys and aliens
Scott Chappel
Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. The Matrix Revolutions, Cowboys and Aliens. Lost In Space movie. It's easy to make a bad movie with no budget, but films like these big money flops are harder to forgive.
Blizzard Mcfly
Keanu Reeves version of "the day the earth stood still"
Jim Goodman
Here's a list: Starship Troopers 2 &3, Skyline, Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, Armageddon, Battlefield Earth, Waterworld, Superman IV Quest for Peace, Lost In Space, Alien Vs Predator Requiem, Johnny Mnemonic, Timeline, and Aeon Flux to name a few that I think can be passed over in my opinion.
