Sci Fidelity: "Knock"

Hello and welcome to the inaugural episode of Sci Fidelity – the podcast dedicated to Old Time Radio Science Fiction programs.
I am Dan Taylor – and not only am I a fan of science fiction dramas from the golden age of radio, but I am a bit of a writer as well. While listening to various Old Time Radio Science Fiction programs I have discovered that not only were they entertaining, but many were adapted from the works of authors that inspire me as a writer – such authors as Ray Bradbury and Philip K. Dick.
With Sci Fidelity, I am sharing with you some of my favorite sci-fi episodes that I have discovered while mining the Golden Age of Old Time Radio.
With this initial launch of Sci Fidelity, I present to you “Knock” adapted from the Frederic Brown short story by Ernest Kinoy, and featured on the program X-MINUS ONE on May 22, 1955.
While there has been no shortage of “The Last Man on Earth” stories written over the years – probably enough to keep any last man on Earth busy with reading for decades – “Knock” offers a version of the familiar trope with a healthy dose of dry wit and sarcastic humor.
