Dr. Gargi Roy Goswami is an interdisciplinary oral healthcare professional, a Geneticist and a General Dentist by profession, an Academician by passion and a Scientist by heart.
Her primary research interest caters to the field of Oral cancer genetics and has more than 10 years of experience in the field. She was also worked as a Project Associate at IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal. She is an invited Honorary Peer Reviewer selected by an NRF Specialist Committee comprising of academics from Higher Education/Research Institution (HEI) in South Africa to assist South Africa’s National Research Foundation (NRF).
With a passion to revolutionize Dentistry, Dr. Gargi Roy Goswami has focused to introduce an interdisciplinary mode of education by conglomerating the knowledge of genetics, genomics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics with Dental and Clinical medical sciences. With a view to promote interdisciplinary scientific education as well as bridge the present gap between the understanding of basic sciences and clinical sciences Dr Gargi Roy Goswami has come up with “Indian Academy for Clinical and Dental Genetics (#IACDG)” … first of its kind in India.
To make a mark and fulfil her dream, Dr. Goswami has come up as a start-up dedicated to her father, Dr Kamalesh Roy Research and Diagnostics Private Limited (KROYNAS). This is the first company in the country which caters to research services and training pertaining to Dental Genetics and Saliva Diagnostics. Presently, KROYNAS is involved in the development of a cost-effective chair-side non-invasive detection device for Oral Cancer Prevention.
To place a mark in the scientific community, Dr. Goswami pioneered to organize the first
International Saliva Summit of India, popularly called SALSI from 2019 onwards.
The symposium is focused to propagate the benefits of non-invasive diagnostic tools , salivary diagnostics and advanced genomic technological applications in dentistry and medicine as well as develop a holistic approach to health and life.
Dr. Goswami has been honored with the Special Jury award of Dental Entrepreneur of the year, 2017 and Indian Dental Diva Young achiever’s award 2018
