Grazie agli ultimi indizi raccolti riguardo la geologia di Marte, siamo alquanto sicuri che, sulla sua superficie, ci sia stata acqua liquida in passato, così tanta da formare immensi oceani. Allora, potrebbe esserci stata vita su Marte? Uno degli obbiettivi delle missioni spaziali che partiranno quest’estate è proprio quello di rispondere a questa domanda, o almeno di continuare a raccogliere ulteriori indizi per risolvere questo enigma. In questo episodio parliamo degli imminenti lanci spaziali puntati verso Marte e dei nuovi rover che ci aiuteranno a studiare la superficie del pianeta rosso in cerca di tracce di vita microbica. Tra questi anche Ingenuity, il primo elicottero o drone marziano. Inoltre, rivivremo velocemente la storia dell’esplorazione marziana sin dai suoi inizi nel 1960 per poi soffermarci sulle missioni future.
