Scott works as an Alpine and River guide in McCarthy for St. Elias Alpine Guides and Copper Oar. When not mountaineering for fun or work, he is usually traveling, climbing, running, or reading. He studied Philosophy at Carleton College and the University of Chicago before becoming a seasonal worker in Alaska for the past 10 years. This winter, he plans to leave his 1975 Dodge van behind in Anchorage and travel through Mexico on a motorbike with his girlfriend Ali.
