Hi! I’m Scotty and passionate about helping parents navigate childhood trauma. After my wife and I adopted two children, we found ourselves learning everything we could about helping our children thrive. Everything that felt instinctually “right” was actually not helpful for children trying to heal from trauma. That set me on a journey to develop out my PSR (Positive Safe Relationships) Approach to parenting. It’s helpful for all children and parents, but especially those navigating childhood trauma. I have a number of free resources on my website, a free Facebook Group, and a bestselling book available. All of these can be helpful to your listeners. I’d love to share with your listeners about the things I know actually work, and work well, for parenting within the context of trauma.

“Scotty Aemis does an excellent job of being honest and relatable. He shares his struggles with parenting children with trauma and how his expectations didn’t align with reality. He does a beautiful job relating his struggle of balancing his faith with scientific knowledge regarding how trauma impacts the brain.” -Fran Bradley
