Shootings continue in Meridain Overnight- Two people were shot in separate incidents overnight. A string of accidents sent several people to the hospital Thursday afternoon. A three-car pile up slowed traffic near Rodney’s Muffler, I-20 at MM 124 slowed traffic, a minivan crashed on Walker Bottom Road in the Clarkdale Community, totaling the vehicle. Newton PD is investigating a Death; no details have been released. Quitman welcomed the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Howard Industries, bringing jobs to Clarke County.
