Nick has been living in L.A. for the last 16 years or so, where he spent years working for movie producer Scott Rudin before making a tansition to writing for TV, including series like Major Crimes and Star Trek: Picard (to name just some of the work that comes up in this conversation). Nick and Mike also talk about how Miami is portrayed in movies and TV; the time Nick met Jon Favreau and embarrassed, then redeemed himself; their matching childhood haircuts; and whether Hollywood’s professional culture is a healthy one or in need of change, especially for young talent.
