Jason (Soul) Howe’s music career began in his mid-30’s when he was struggling to put in perspective personal loss and the ongoing challenges faced by the black community in Nova Scotia. Soul served in the Canadian Navy as a Cook for 8 years and participated in two overseas operations (Op Apollo in the Gulf of Oman) and Op Unison in the Gulf of Mexico.
