Ms. Marvel episode 5 is a divisive one for Marvel Standom! The show finally reveals Aisha’s backstory in some wonderful flashbacks, and we get to see the delightful Fawad Khan onscreen, but the back half of the episode doesn’t work for Mike and Kirstie, especially its sudden ending and the underdeveloped villains of the series overall. Meanwhile, Maznah Shehzad returns to dish up some interesting time travel theories for anyone who might be confused about how Ms. Marvel’s time-bending rules could work! As for special guest Joe George, he’s here to tell us “screw the rules!”
