Kingdom Life

Scripture Meditation

Listen Later

Proverbs 3:5-8

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Pastor Chris begins by emphasizing the importance of listening to God's word and its transformative power. He mention that every word of Scripture has the potential to speak directly into one's life. The focus then shifts to the book of Proverbs, highlighting its wisdom and explaining that while its proverbs are not guaranteed promises, they offer principles of Godly wisdom. Pastor Chris suggests several relevant proverbs for reflection, particularly in the context of a national celebration. He then reads selected verses from Proverbs 3:5-8, encouraging the listeners to trust in the Lord, acknowledge Him in all their ways, and turn away from evil. He invites personal reflection on how God's message applies to individual lives and seeks confirmation or guidance from God. The importance of savoring and internalizing the words of Scripture is emphasized, followed by a final reading of the Proverbs verses and a moment of silent prayer or reflection.
