It is here, the revival of Scrubs. In this reboot, JD and Turk scrub in together after a long break. Medicine and interns have evolved, but their friendship remains strong. New and familiar faces at Sacred Heart bring laughs, emotion, and unexpected moments.
Scrubs Old Fashioned (Gnome's Tavern):
Ingredients
- 1 oz rum
- 1 oz calvados
- 3 spoonful maple syrup
- 2 dashes chocolate bitters
- scotch rinse
- orange peel
Directions
- 1. Rinse the Glass with Scotch. Pour a small splash of scotch into your rocks glass. Swirl it around so the inside of the glass gets coated. Dump out the excess scotch. This leaves behind a smoky aroma without overpowering the drink.
- Fill a mixing glass or shaker tin about halfway with ice.
- Add the rum, calvados, maple syrup and chocolate bitters into the mixing glass.
- Stir for about 20–30 seconds. You want the drink chilled and slightly diluted, like a traditional old fashioned.
- Add one large ice cube (or a few regular cubes) to your scotch-rinsed rocks glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice. If you don’t have a strainer, you can carefully pour it straight in.
- Garnish, express an orange peel over the drink.
