Horror movies are hard enough to get right. However, when the producers focus on only one aspect and leave the rest horribly underdeveloped, then what's made is a gimmick film. Or perhaps a little more elegantly put, a macguffin movie. In this much longer than normal SD Bite!, JJ looks at two very popular horror movies and why they are exactly gimmick films.
