Mark & G grew up in the same neighborhood, Forest Heights, MD. However, Mark's a few years older and when the show started they hadn't spoken to each other in years. Given Mark's journalistic background, he was curious about G's life and opinions. In part 2 they primarily discuss drug movies and shows, including a begrudging acknowledgment of the better police characters on The Wire.
