When your mind works overtime, it’s hard to get much of anything done, let alone sleep at night. And counting sheep and medicating ourselves may be quick fixes, but they won’t stave off the inevitable depression, anxiety, and irritability that go along with insomnia. This Week’s Listener Question:
I haven’t been able to turn my brain off lately and I can’t fall asleep at night. I’m definitely sleep deprived and irritable all the time. Help me sleep!

2. Why do you think our minds often work overtime during the day and night?

4. What’s one new thing you could add to your sleep routine to help you rest more at night and practice better sleep hygiene?
