Many cultures and traditions honor their ancestors by creating a space specifically for them with an alter. On the eve of my Mom’s Transition anniversary I created one for her and sitting with this alter helped me feel close to her again. The alter felt like a bridge between the physical and non physical world that we can interact with.
In this sacred place with my alter I was able to grieve and shed another layer of loss…to create space for the peace that comes with the inner knowing that her Spirit is always with me.
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since her physical departure and return to Source. I still miss you Mom, I love you so much and thank you for believing in my magic.
