He lived in Istanbul for ten years until 2014, where he gave TEDx talk 'Stammering and Creativity' and also lectured at Istanbul University. He has published several books, poems and albums, won a number of Koestler Arts awards (including platinum for his play 'The Wolfstadt-Wire' in 2020 and book Compelling Speech - The Stammering Enigma, 2023) and won a Perrie Lectures essay award. He has been published by the T.S. Eliot Foundation, Time Out Istanbul, New Thinking, Louder Than War, FACTNews, appeared at the Brighton Science Festival and Catalyst Club, Bristol BIMM, on NTV Turkey, RISE and BBC Radio Wales.
