Fitzpatrick recalls the bonds formed on that tour, the emotional final whistle in Pretoria, and the pride in achieving something generations of All Blacks had chased since 1921. He shares memories of legends like Zinzan Brooke, Christian Cullen, and coach John Hart, while also assessing today’s side under Scott Robertson. Fitzpatrick believes the All Blacks are building well, but stresses the expectation to win every test remains central to New Zealand rugby’s identity.
