Sean Lyons: Reported cyber attacks on the rise
Cyber attacks are being reported more than ever before.
The Government cybersecurity agency's been alerted to more than 730 attacks in the last quarter, up about 50 percent from the previous quarter.
Most of the scams target people over 55, and are for small amounts of money - a few hundred dollars.
Chief Technology Officer Sean Lyons told Mike Hosking there is a greater awareness of them, and vigilance when dealing with money online.
"We are getting on top of online scams, as the public becomes more suspicious and aware of extortion."
