We are discussing one of the more interesting character ideas in wrestling history as we take a look at Sean O'Haire's Devil's advocate gimmick.
O'Haire played the character from January to April 2003 while making his debut on Smackdown. Fans were shown vignettes of O'Haire telling them to commit adultery, not pay their taxes, not go to church and break the law.
He ended the promos by saying "I'm not telling you anything you don't already know."
He ended up getting Dawn Marie to flash the crowd and Spanky to streak naked through the arena. The gimmick ended quickly though as WWE chose to drop it and place O'Haire with Roddy Piper.
What could have been great was ultimately a missed opportunity.
