Today we hear about how Dan's career and the major changes he went through, that lead him to the path he took to get to where he is today. Believe it or not but he originally starting out being a chef in multiple high-end restaurants, sometimes working 75+ hours in a week! Later on in the episode we discover Dan's reasons for leaving that environment and the opportunities he saw in sales, starting out in a whole new industry and career… With new starts comes with new challenges that Dan had recognised, today he reveals that the business world is not all that rosy despite what media might tell you. This episode we go various topics such as mental health in the office working environment and how Dan coped with tremendous amounts of stress in the past and still today. Discovering Dan's methods to cope with work frustrations, such as going to Derby County matches at the weekends. However, since COVID-19 Dan has not been able to do this, so we go on to dissect the effects of not interacting with friends and letting off steam. Speaking on the importance of a good attitude, motivation, and most importantly mental health. We highlight some of the real issues people in business face, regarding importance of a healthy work-life balance and the consequences of letting work dictate your life. We look at the motivations for success and how in previous roles Dan was pressured immensely to perform and achieve unrealistic goals.

In this episode Dan and Sean both give their opinion on the impact of social media on the younger generation, and how it twists the perception of what a real entrepreneur looks like. And how social media may have you believe you are supposed to be a millionaire living a life of luxury by the age of 25. In actuality, it’s the realistic goals, and ambitions set out alongside years of long days and sleepless nights to even come close to the millionaire lifestyle. Dan and Sean gives us an inside look to their goals as well as the story of how they started working together.
