GOD SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE. Exodus 3:1–6, 11–15; 4:28–31 KJV In Exodus 3 and 4, God met Moses during an ordinary day and called him from the burning bush. Moses learned that God is holy, personal, and sufficient. When Moses asked, "Who am I?" God answered with the greater truth: "Certainly I will be with thee." God then revealed Himself as "I AM THAT I AM," showing that Moses's calling depended not upon Moses's strength but upon God's character and presence. Moses eventually carried God's message to Israel, the people believed, and they worshipped. The lesson reminds us that God speaks through the truth of His Word. Our responsibility is to listen reverently, trust Him completely, obey what He says, and share His truth with others. God speaks; we listen; we respond.
