The fallout from Tuesday's election continues to unfold. Those who allege that President Trump was going after political opponents are now telling those in this administration to "Lawyer Up." Yesterday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said it was a "close to extinction-level event for Republicans." He warned the impact of the election results are going to last "far beyond just two years." Ballot questions on abortion lost in 3 out of 4 states, not to mention the abortion measures that will be advanced by a new Democratic legislative body. And although some ballot questions went against the LGBTQ agenda, the LGBTQ Nation is touting the fact that at least 16 LGBTQ+ lawmakers will be sworn in to the House and Senate next year, making them what they report to be "the largest group of queer legislators ever to serve in Congress." The Daily Signal reports, "Democratic Socialists of America chapters are already mobilizing to gain nation power in the 2028 election, passing resolutions urging member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to run for president." The goal is to derail the Trump agenda and certainly to advance leftist causes. All Israel News reported, "The National Exit Polls showed that white Evangelical or born-again Christians accounted for just 17% of the national electorate, compared with 24% in the 2022 midterms and approximately 23% in 2024."

The sermon examines Genesis chapter 5 to highlight the theological significance of the genealogies recorded from Adam to Noah. It identifies Seth as the appointed seed who replaces Abel, establishing the messianic line through which Christ would come. The teaching contrasts the first Adam, who was created in God's image but lost it through sin, with the last Adam, Jesus Christ, who is a quickening spirit. How do we know we have the right books in the Bible, no more and no fewer? The answer to the divisions in the church was first to respond to the preaching of the cross. It calls the lost to salvation, but it also calls the saved to humility and purpose.

God's House must be filled. God's disciples must give all. Three parables of the Lost.

When Jesus was arrested, beaten, and crucified, His disciples faced the darkest night of their lives. They had followed Him through years of ministry, witnessed His miracles, and confessed that He alone had the words of eternal life. Yet when the Shepherd was struck down, the sheep were scattered. Why did the disciples abandon Jesus? Was their failure inevitable because Scripture had prophesied it? And what should they have done when following Jesus suddenly became more difficult than they could imagine? We discover that the disciples didn't ultimately fall because they lost their Shepherd. They fell because they refused to follow Him where He was leading. But their failure wasn't the end of the story. Luke 3:1-14 records four groups of people that came to the baptism of John. The first group was religious but lost Pharisees, whom John refused to baptize because they had no internal fruits of salvation. The second group (the general mass of the population) was the common people, who after they were saved asked, "What shall we do?" The third group (the hated group) was Publicans, who after they were saved asked, "What shall we do?" The fourth group (the feared group) was the soldiers, who after they were saved asked, "What shall we do?" The Pharisees weren't saved and John refused to baptize them. They had cleaned up the outside but inside they were full dead of men's bones. John refused to baptize them because they were lost. The common people, the publicans and the soldiers all asked the same question, "What shall we do?" None of these three groups asked about salvation, because they were already saved. They asked what they needed to do to show the world they were believers. John answered them differently because they needed different answers according to their personal situation.

Before the 7th seal opens there is a divine pause with another heavenly perspective, God wants people to know about Him during this time. Things only get worse for those who have rejected Jesus. Is there anything good that is going to come out of this wrath? Yes, we can still see God's mercy and grace is still saving the lost.
