In this episode, the instructional designers from Academic Innovation (Jinnette Senecal, Celia Coochwytewa, and Aaron Kraft) describe the background and principles of the Transparency in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education project (TILT), an “award-winning national educational and research project that helps faculty to implement a transparent teaching framework that promotes college students’ success.” We then explore the features, applicability, and potential benefits of implementing transparent assignment design across a variety of disciplines and program levels.
