Do you remember when your parents used to say, "Don't go here or don't do this? At the time, you might've thought they were hating or didn't understand, but in reality, later on, you realized they were telling you for your protection. That's exactly what God does when he gives us wisdom and discernment. It's his intention to keep us safe and out of harm's way, which is why he gives us wisdom in situations to judge and gauge if we're supposed to be in or out.
