In this episode, Chey and Pav discuss the idea that there might be too much technology in the classroom for students today, and that the abundance of it is taking away from students being able to engage in true Social Emotional Learning. They are suffering in terms of their communication skills, and not necessarily engaging in true community and culture building because they are constantly hiding behind a screen. 

Chey and Pav refer to an article from the New York Post (link provided below), where the author discusses the idea that there is too much tech, and not enough development of social skills. They agree that in some ways, students can become too dependent on the technology in the classroom, but there are many different ways that students can engage with one another with their technology, based on how it is being used. 

They introduce their 3 Enlightened Minutes guest, Evan Whitehead, who talks about his 3 B's - Balance, Boundaries, Brakes. 

They discuss a few of their own anecdotal stories and thoughts about how tech can be used to support SEL, and also how Social Media plays a big impact on students and their mental states.
