In which we find out “where Squeeze goes…”  

Eugene Victor Tooms is up for release at his sanitarium. He was never convicted of any crime beyond assaulting Scully, as there wasn’t enough evidence, and all the experts feel he’s ready for release. Meanwhile, Assistant Director Walter Skinner warns Scully that if she and Mulder don’t start playing by the book, the X-Files might be dissolved. Mulder and Scully must find evidence to arrest Tooms before he kills again.  

’Cause he’s gotta get him a liver!
