It is often assumed that the person doing the most talking is having the greatest influence. This is not necessarily the case and indeed we can influence, perhaps more powerfully, by really paying attention to another person, and allowing them the space to think for themselves. When we pay attention to others in this way - may they not be more inclined to listen when we speak ?
