Have you ever stopped to think about how you talk to yourself? What are the things you tell yourself in good times and then in not so good times? Let's say you take a test, and you are unsure how you did on it. Do you think positive things like, "I'm nervous about that, but I did my best," or do you start in on yourself with negative thoughts like "Of course I bombed that. I can't do anything right."  Be honest with yourself in this moment. Are you nice to yourself? Do you talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend? If you talked to your best friend the way you talk to yourself, would they still be your friend?
