Or as a fellow peaceful protester's sign read the other day, "Racism is also a pandemic."

When we avoid talking to our (white) children about race, we perpetuate this ongoing plague. They will then grow up ill-equipped to handle it when they do confront, witness, and participate in injustice in their lives.
