Siblinghood of Recovery

Season 1 - How I got here, a review of ACES, and my first time ever Podcasting

Listen Later

This first episode covers the impetus for Siblinghood of Recovery. My name is Angie Reno, and I hope to share hints, definitions, learned lessons and processes to add to the ever increasing Recovery conversation. If you're a parent, just discovering their child's substance challenge and/or abuse, the greatest gift I hope to give with this Podcast, is to let you know you are not alone.

In this Episode, we explore Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are stressful and/or traumatic experiences that occur during childhood and directly impact a child's coping skills. Research has also demonstrated a link between ACEs and substance abuse, mental health disorders, and overall quality of life factors. Listen to Episode 1 for an overview, and self-educate through the links below.
