Journeys To Success in Engineering 
This is a must listen episode for anyone who is thinking about or is currently pursuing an engineering degree. Engineering is the E, in STEM and is perhaps the most well known scholastic major among the STEM fields. Our special guest for this episode is Mr. Chad Watson. Chad has his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Business and Science, with a concentration in Sustainability.
As an undergraduate student at the Rutgers University School of Engineering, Chad was an active leader in the the MEET (Minority Engineering Educational Task) organization, which is the school’s collegiate NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) chapter, and he was also a member of Rutgers’ Solar Decathlon team that participated in the United States Department of Energy’s annual collegiate competition to design, build, and operate the most cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive solar-powered houses.
Chad is now enjoying a successful career as a Staff Engineer for multiple solar energy projects. Join us as we discuss strategies for successfully navigating the engineering undergraduate landscape, transitioning from high school into a collegiate engineering program, getting involved in STEM related extracurricular activities in order to help augment your scholastic experience, as well as effectively moving from an undergraduate engineering program into graduate studies or into full time employment.
