In Season One of Hear in Alabama, Dr. Beth McGinnis explores the rich musical traditions of Perry County: African diasporic music from Alabama and Brazil, the music of Provewell Baptist Church in Sprott, and the marching bands of Francis Marion School in Marion and Robert C.
