This week, I speak with Valerie Melroy, a mother of five, grandmother of seventeen, a minister, co-founder of Voice and Vision, Inc., and, most recently, a published author. For more than 50 years, she has had the privilege of walking alongside people experiencing challenges related to mental health, addictions, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Valerie loves helping people to explore their gifts, abilities, uniqueness, and dreams through Jesus Christ’s unwavering hope and love. She takes great pleasure in working with teams to create innovative strategies that help people to overcome fear and trauma and experience peace and joy. As a servant-leader, Valerie has traveled to 19 nations to assist leaders in villages, towns, and cities. She delights in learning from people and applying what she learns in her everyday life. Valerie enjoys gardening, traveling, savoring international cuisine, and hosting family gatherings. We look at her childhood up to the present to find the beautiful thread of Jesus in her life.
