Ray Martinez recalls with amazing detail his experience on August 1, 1966 as he confronted Charles Whitman, the sniper in the University of Texas tower. Ray Martinez was an Austin Police officer at the time, he later became a Texas Ranger. He retired to and still lives in New Braunfels, Tx. I am informally calling this one, "people would see me in my uniform and say, "Go Get Him!""
