The last week of Breastfeeding Month is "Black breastfeeding week". And why does it deserve it's own week? Because for so long we have been excluded from the "everybody" months, days, and weeks. So it's okay that we, yes we because I'm a Black woman, have a week to get correct information out there and celebrate in a space for us. Also because we have our own issues that prevent us from initiating and continuing to breastfeed past 6 months. In this episode I bring to light the barriers we have and how to help remove them.
