Latina filmmaker and poet from the borderland. Raised in both El Paso and Juarez. Storytelling has always been her core of art. @gibeel Gibel Amador is a Latina filmmaker and poet from the borderland. Raised in both El Paso and Juarez, her experiences as a Latina in this region have informed her understanding of storytelling and narrative.  

Working from an early age as a model, Gibel decided to put herself in control of her own narrative, placing her eye behind the camera and behind the script. Filmmaking and photography came naturally to her from so much experience in the industry, but the writing was the missing piece.
