Season 2, Episode 9 is here- double digit episode counts are on the horizon!

For the first time ever, we've got some family ties on the podcast, as William and guest co-host Jake Matthews welcome on Jake's brother/SPMA alumni Tyler Matthews to the show! Tyler (6:14) talks about how he got his interest in the legal field through the sport law and negotiations courses offered in the program including a trip to the St. Catharines Court of Justice to argue a mock case (9:55), and how he balances his responsibilities working with AthletesCAN and studying law at Western University as a graduate student, while emphasizing the importance of good mental health (13:16). Tyler also discusses his past tenure developing publications for the industry with the Sport Dispute and Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC) (18:11), the process for athlete advocation cases (22:20), and current issues that he's had to adapt to due to the volatile nature of sport this year (25:53).
