In this episode, we explore how to stay calm in the midst of chaos. Drawing from Buddhist teachings on mindful awareness, I share a real-life story of navigating Brisbane’s massive Riverfire event with my family, half a million people, packed trains, long food lines, and hours of waiting. Instead of being swept up in the stress, I leaned into mindful awareness: pausing, accepting reality, and choosing calm.

We’ll look at how these same principles apply to everyday parenting chaos - whether it’s bedtime battles, morning rushes, or crowded supermarkets, and how mindful awareness gives us the power to respond intentionally instead of reactively.
