Artistic Director, Adam Hemming, chats to Gabrielle Silvestre and Rachel Harley, founders of Fury Entertainment about their upcoming show Des Fleur. We discuss the need for queer theatre and voices , why representation matters, and the value of good preparation in advance of the run of Des Fleur at the Space (playing 25th - 29th October, including a livestream on the 27th and on demand access for two weeks after that).

‘My heart is so full of you I want to scream.’

An ageing Judith faces early-onset Alzheimer’s and the death of her husband John. As she argues with her children who insist that she moves into a care home, her past and present become blurred, memories come alive and she sees herself as a young wife and mother, surrounded by John and by her best friend and then lover Georgia.

Built around two colliding timelines, ‘Des Fleurs’ is an intricate play about choice, queerness and indentity.
