Welcome to Season Two: Episode 27. In this episode, our great friend, Brian Johnson, area director of the Kansas City (KC) Underground rejoins to help close the apest series. The apest series is based on Ephesians 4:11-12, "11 And he [Jesus] gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (ESV). Apest is an acronym for apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd, and teacher. In this episode, Brian introduces the idea of voice order, an idea from the book "5 Voices" by Jeremie Kubicek and Steve Cockram. Voice order is an extra-biblical idea that might help shape leadership structures and organizations to work together for the highest fullness of each person.
5 voices to apest: nurturer to shepherd, guardian to teacher, connector to evangelist, creative to prophet, and pioneer to apostle.
You can find the book "5 Voices" by Jeremie Kubicek and Steve Cockram on amazon or any major retailer.
